In the heart of Bloomington Idaho a "REASON" was imagined to recycle a cherished dairy farm into a family retreat specializing in weddings, reunions and getaways. With a fish pond and Bloomington Creek this perfect setting is a natural creation for a weekend of celebration and adventure. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and the Caribbean of the Rockies (Bear Lake), this year round retreat offers enough space to roam with boundaries to feel comfortable, cozy and peaceful.

Families Are The Reason...
Our "Gathering Hall" was designed with your memory making event in mind, offering space for rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies, receptions, reunions and getaways. Because our main gathering hall seats 80-90 people with a beautiful stone hearth, vaulted ceilings, plenty of benches, tables and soft seating, your family and guests can know they're special while the warmth of home abounds. If fancy is your fling, playing dress-up with drapes, french style chandeliers and crystal drop lights can be arranged. We beckoned the natural light to flow through the double south facing windows and added clear glass doors inviting in the fresh mountain air. Big old beams, reclaimed barn wood and corrugated metal from the original barn introduce neutral colors that are timeless and makes it easy to create your dream wedding. Many memories have already been made with our oversized barn doors as the ultimate photo backdrop. We knew that dancing can be the language of love so we personally nailed down a Montana rough sawn Douglas Fir floor making "rustic" romantic and fun. We are the perfect balance of something old and something new. Whether you're reason is an "I DO" to start your family, an "ALL in the FAMILY" sleepover or an eightieth birthday party, we've saved you time and effort by repurposing the dairy farm into the picture perfect gathering place for family and friends. With Bloomington Family Retreat we respect your choice to DIY. We love to see self creations and know it helps save your hard earned money. We offer creatively designed space for wedding ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, receptions, and overnight wedding party stays allowing your perfect day to become a cherished memory.
